Piano Remodel

I am now the lucky owner of the family pass around piano. In fact this very weekend my dad was lamenting about Aunt Laurel's request to have the piano in her 3rd floor apartment. Uncle Stephen and my dad had to carry it up three flights of stairs. Then after Laurel was done with it, back to Burg' it went, and now here it is back in Utah. It definitely needed a serious facelift.

Welcome To The Outdoors!

Spending time outside is always best! We love the outdoors. These are some of our latest activities.

Snowshoeing:

Thatcher fell asleep in the sled on the way up the mountain. What a way to ride huh? Near the end of our adventure, Paul and I were wishing the sled was big enough for one of us!

Sledding:

After all the Olympics watching, Paul and Thomas decided to have their own Luge competition. It was very impressive, both earned a spot on the medal podium. It had us all on the edge of our seats, cheering wildly!!

Snowmachining:

Thatcher's Birthday

I know this is late, but for documents sake, Thatcher's birthday was last month. He turned 2 on January 18th to be exact. We spent the weekend at Gram and Bomp's house and so had family and cousins to celebrate the big day! Hooray for Thatcher! He is getting so big and talking like crazy!

Sun Valley

Okay, I know it's been a long time since we actually went to Sun Valley. But I am just now getting around to posting the evidence. Our computer was sent off for some much needed repairs. I decided it was okay to post this late because it goes along with the upcoming holiday, Valentine's Day. We celebrated our 5th Anniversary in Sun Valley! It was a lot of fun and the first time we've left Thatcher over night. He, too, had a great time at Bomp & Gram's house!

We hit the rink to show off our iceskating skills! Mine were not so showy! This is one consecutive move! We had a blast pretending we were professionals competing in the Olympics!

Maybe I'm better off standing still?!

"Santa Claus is Comin' To Town..."

And we are ready and waiting!!

We made our annual neigbor gifts, tradition called for chocolate dipped strawberries. Mmmmmmm, A-mazing, love them!! Thatcher was a huge asset to the production!

Thanksgiving Events

We spent the Thanksgiving Holiday at a cabin in Park City with my parents, the Johnsons, The Mounts, Grandma Z, The Stephen Zollingers, The David Zollingers, and The Harris'. It was a lot of fun and very delicious! My mom and I made paper bonnets and feather headbands for all guests to wear at the feast. The girls were Pilgrims and the boys were Indians. Festive right? I thought so, but I'm not sure everyone agreed. I stole this slide show from Stephen and Cari's blog of the events activities. Click here and enjoy! Great pictures by Cari!

I also had the opportunity to reflect on my many many many blessings and how thankful I am! I feel so overwhelmed at the plenty Heavenly Father has given to me. I am so grateful for my family, for the Gospel, for this country, for my testimony, for our health, for our safety, and for so many many other blessings!! I truly feel many reasons for "thanksgiving!"

Happy Halloween...A Little Late

Nicole and Blake invited us to spend the Halloween weekend at Nicole's grandmother's cabin in Driggs. It was a lot of fun spending time with family, The Zollingers, Jack & Debbie, Johnsons, Mounts, and Bomp and Gram. We had a delicious assortment of meals and goodies and played lots of fun games. Halloween night we hit the streets of Driggs for trick-or-treating. Not many streets to hit, I'm sure we hit all of them in a matter of one hour. Impressive!

Happy Birthday Mom!!

Happy Birthday Mom! My mom is the very best there is. I just wanted to share a few things about my mom on her special day. She, I am sure, would like to pretend she doesn't have birthdays. I on the other hand, feel that she and her life deserve celebratioin more than just one day each year. My mother graduated from Madison High School and attended college at BYU. She received bachelors degrees in both Cartology and Elementary Education. She met my father while living in Provo, Utah. Admist much animosity, the two were married December 18th of some year, I'm not sure which, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They have three children and eight grandchildren. My mother is very intelligent. She is the best at lending a listening ear then giving advice to make you feel better. She is a great example and very thoughtful! We love you mom and hope you have a wonderful day!! You deserve it!

I also wanted to mention my mom's amazing talent at decorating and sewing. She created the bedding for Thatcher's crib and helped me with his nursery. Impressive or what??!! The lady's got skills; you should see her own house!
