Finally....

at ten months, Thatcher has two teeth!! Hooray! Bring on the food!! :0

Our November Weekend

We went to breakfast at IHOP Saturday morning. Mmmmm it was so delicious! There was a lady there making balloon characters for all the children. She came to our table and made Thatcher this monkey clinging onto a palm tree. Pretty amazing!? Thatcher sure thought so!

One Amazing Man...

Paul is so sweet to me! He is thee most amazing man!! He surprised me with these beautiful Gerber daisies the other day, just because. I am very lucky! He does this sort of thing often! I love you Paul! Thanks for making me the luckiest girl in the world!

Harry Pollock or Thatcher Morris?

Harry Pollock is Thatcher's great grandfather. I, along with several others, think Thatcher has an alarming resemblance with him. We saw this paperboy hat at The Gap and it reminded us of this picture of Harry. So we took a picture of Thatcher wearing it. Sooo cute! Can you tell who is who? :)

Camping

We went camping two weekends ago with a very cute family in our ward, Larry, Emily, & Brenlee Keele. They really know how to camp...a trailer with beds, a sink, stove, microwave, toilet, shower, etc., etc. It was so much fun and so nice not waking up in the middle of the night frozen on hard ground. I also have to mention the scruptious food. Mmmmm sooo yummy! The first night we roasted hot dogs, smores, and starbursts. The second night we cooked tin foil dinners on the fire and warm rolls in the oven! Sooo delicious! We took a hike up the mountain and enjoyed the fall colors. It was beautiful! I am so glad we were able to get away, relax, eat yummy food, and enjoy the outdoors!! Paul and I are now saving our pennies for an RV :)!!
p.s. Thanks Larry & Emily for a great time!

What We've Been "Working" Up To

WORKING IN THE YARD:

Thatcher loves playing in the dirt, eating it too. Mmmmmm. He crawled into a hole Paul had pulled a fence post out of. It was just his size. It scared me but he just smiled and sat in it proud as can be.

WORKING OUT (very sporadically):

Paul and I have been trying to do this Tony Horton program called P90X. It is pretty much a man workout but I never do anything else so I join in. This is a pretty embarrassing picture. Paul honestly took it without me knowing. I quickly put a stop to that. So then I decided I would document or blackmail our attempts at getting fit!

Thatcher, on the other hand, is not currently enrolled in P90X.

WORKING AT THE OFFICE FROM HOME:

Paul has unfortunately been very busy lately. So he often brings his work home. It is not too fun but at least he's home with us and not still at work. We love him and are very thankful for all the hard work he does for our family. He is the best dad and husband in the world!

My New Look

I am embarrassed to post a picture of myself on the blog...BUT...my mom, Mandi, and others have requested to see my new look. So here it is. My good friend Yeni dyed my hair for me with some good ol' fashioned ghetto grocery store hair dye. It is a little darker than I anticipated. When I look in the mirror I feel like I am wearing my Halloween witch wig. Oh well, I think it will just keep getting lighter so I'm not too worried. And it's growing on me too (no pun intended).

Summer Time

Below are a few pictures from our summer happenings:

Thatcher was able to meet aunt Melinda, Kylie, and Narci. We met them in the airport as we were on our way to the Mounts Family Reunion. They were flying into Salt Lake for Nick & Alison's wedding. I was so glad we were able to see them, I only wish we could have spent more time together.

The Mounts Reunion was a lot of fun! I only wish it could have lasted longer, time really flew. We spent time visiting, cooking, eating, rafting, riding horses, and a quick jaunt to Pikes Place downtown Seattle. It was fun flying with everyone, my parents, Tom, Kricket, & Annie. Thatcher and Annie were very good!

Thatcher loves sitting in his chair and eating dinner with us. It is a lot of fun. We just feed him what we're eating. I haven't purchased any baby food yet. I have made quite a bit of my own, carrots, zuchini, squash, and cantelope. I just cook it then puree it in the blender. Next I am going to tackle apples. Thatcher seems to like it.

This is Thatcher's latest sleeping position - bum in the air. It's pretty cute. I was telling my mom about it and she said this is how I always slept. I guess it's genetic!

Thatcher has discovered my jewlery chest. He likes going through the drawers and finding all sorts of treasures! We love watching him learn and grow. He is so much fun and we feel so blessed to have him in our lives!

Six Months Already

So I am a little behind with this post. Thatcher is now seven months old. Ooops. I've been super busy... yard work, laundry, new job, Thatcher's crawling (video coming soon), and more!
p.s. Thanks to Lynn for doing these pictures.

Fire at 951 Silica Dr

Well we had our first fire..... I guess??!! Story is: Over time we have collected a small pile of wood from trimming our apple tree and tearing apart an arbor in our yard. Mind you, it was all wood, and not too much. Laura & Zane were here visiting and we thought, "Hey lets get rid of that wood pile, roast some marshmallows, make smores, and sing Kum Ba Ya. Okay! Fun!" So Paul got out the newspaper, no gas involved, and started the fire. I prepared a tray of malllows, peanut butter, and fudge-striped cookies. Mmmmm, yummy smores. No sooner had we started the small fire, that our neighbors didn't start wandering over to see the excitment. One neighbor even ran home to get their roasting sticks for us to use. (We were just using branches from our tree.) Other neighbor children starting roasting mallows in our fire. Sounds like great fun huh? Until..... we started hearing sirens. One neighbor lady joked, "Ah oh they're coming for you guys. Ha ha ha." We all chuckled and carried on. Then about 30 seconds later an ambulance flies around our corner and comes to a screeching halt next to our fire. "Ummmm..... hello?"

Then about 5 seconds later a big water truck, and about 5 seconds after that a huge ladder fire truck." YIKES!!! Okay, this is honestly a small marshmallow party. So I was a little scared.

What was going to happen, what fine would we pay, were we going to jail? But the firefighters were really nice and not angry. They just told us we needed to put out the fire asap. So we got the hose and said goodbye to kum ba ya.

The firefighter explained to us that the fire was not a big deal and really not a problem until a neighbor complains, which he said ours had. WHAT?! WHO?! He wouldn't disclose. But we spotted the suspicious, most likely guilty, culprits spying out their screen door. It was cute how they thought we couldn't see them. My neighbor had me pose with them. Look closely.

The worst part about the whole ordeal.... I didn't get a smore!!

Not to mention all the comotion scared Thatcher out of his sleep. :(
